Where Have We Been?

Here, There, and Everywhere!

June brought my 20th birthday and a wonderful

celebration with my family.

Shortly after my b.d. we headed off for a great trip to Yosemite.
The weather was great and we had many fun adventures.
We even made the
climb up Half Dome again . . .
we made it to the top and I think we've got
it out of our system for awhile. :-)

Micah's birthday arrived on August 7th! At the time Micah was in IL shooting at a national shooting competition. He did a great job and came out 5th out of 300 or so!
Congratulations Micah!

Two weeks ago, Micah and I took off to go hiking above Palm Springs with one of our friends. We took the Palm Springs aerial tramway up to the top and then we hiked a few thousand feet up in elevation and a total of five miles to reach the top of San Jacinto Peak at 10,834 feet!

If you ever want relief from the desert of Palm Springs, take
the tram up and immerse yourself in a totally different terrain!
(Warning: not for those afraid of heights!)

This last shot was taken last night from our backyard. We had quite a bit of
lightening and thunder yesterday and this fire was probably started as a result of the lightening. (however the cause is still under investigation.) Thankfully it's burning in a very remote area of the Angeles National Forest. The flame glow was pretty thrilling in the dark of the evening.
